Isn’t it more likely that the tests are showing a chemical that is very like cocaine in it’s molecular structure? Or are we supposed to believe they were hanging out in the jungles of Columbia? Nicoine, yes. But there are many opiates and other substances that test the same chemically. If you test positive for opiates it is unlikely that the testing facility can say whether it was oxycodone or another opiate based substance. Just a point.
Like what similar chemical? These are experts who know this stuff. When you take a drug test, they know the difference between cocaine and other substances.

They traded world wide and I would assume they were introduced to cocaine during this time.
