The Awakening of Osiris

Here is an excellent interpretation of “The Awakening of Osiris” from the Egyptian Book of the Dead.Leopard Egyptian Ceremony Opening the Mouth

Lord Osiris – Air and earth are my horizons. What lies between is what I am. O infinite form of being: beast and stone and vegetable; the way a man may stand in his garden or dance by the river while wakes of small boats rock the reeds. The cities and the people in them, gods who walk in white linen, like women under the blue stone of heaven.

I am the priest in a hidden house, guide to inner worlds. I am the idea of myself in my mother’s belly, a bright trembling star in the memory of morning, a grain of sand blown east. I am the husband of Isis: woman, and widow, and witch. To embrace her is to dream of ripening wheat. To sleep in her arms is to dream of honey. With a word she drives the snakes from the river. The boats sail far to its mouth.

Air is what I breathe. Earth is where I stand. I have given my face to Amenta. It is white with heat. The world is bright as bronze. The dead rise up to see me, breathe the air and look into my face, a yellow disk on the eastern horizon.

SOURCE: The Awakening of Osiris and the Transit of the Solar Barques: Royal Apotheosis in a Most Concise Book of Underworld and Sky – by Joshua Aaron Roberson

Among the many scenes and texts that occur for the first time in the Nineteenth Dynasty cenotaph of Seti I at Abydos is a representation of the awakening of Osiris by Horus, which appears directly beneath a vignette depicting the transit of the solar barques. The annotations to this bi-partite tableau appear in a mixture of standard, hieroglyphic Egyptian and cryptographic scripts. Similar groups of scenes and texts occur in the Twentieth Dynasty royal tombs of Ramesses VI (KV9) and Ramesses IX (KV6), the Twenty-Second Dynasty tomb of Sheshonq III at Tanis (NRT5), and the Twenty-Sixth Dynasty private tomb of Mutirdis at Thebes (TT410). In addition, significant, albeit partial parallels occur on the Twenty-Second Dynasty sarcophagus of Psusennes and a Ptolemaic sarcophagus inscribed for a certain Khaf. This study offers a summary of the scenes’ iconography together with the first synoptic edition of the relevant annotations, taking into account all currently published exemplars.

Many of the cryptographic texts are translated here for the first time, with improved or significantly expanded readings for other texts, which had been discussed in prior literature. The author also considers the meaning and context of the paired scenes in both royal and private monuments, in order to demonstrate the status of the bi-partite tableau as a unified composition. This composition is identified as a concise representative of the cosmological genre referred to usually as the Books of the Underworld and Sky.

Making the Transformation Into a Hawk of Gold

Here is a great chapter by Ani the Scribe, that is from the Book of the Dead called: Making the Transformation Into a Hawk of Gold benu-birdthat alludes to the secret teachings of alchemy and Gnosis. It goes along the lines of the ancient alchemists, who had allegorically transmuted lead into gold, and who in reality were activating their souls and higher selves through their chemical energies that they had hoped to master.

Much like Osiris, who in this chapter is like the golden hawk which cometh forth from his egg and declares, “I am master over myself and over the attributes of my head.”

Simply put, if you cannot master your thoughts or yourself, you will not turn lead into gold such like the golden hawk which cometh forth from his egg. This means that your animal self which is your body and brain, has dominion over your soul, mind and spirit, which is the light within your blood.

Making the Transformation Into a Hawk of Gold – The Osiris Ani saith:

I have risen up out of the seshett chamber, like

the golden hawk which cometh forth from his egg. I fly, I alight like a

hawk with a back of seven cubits, and the wings of which are like unto

the mother-of-emerald of the South. I have come forth from the Sektet

Boat, and my heart hath been brought unto me from the mountain of the

East. I have alighted on the Atet Boat, and there have been brought unto

me those who dwelt in their substance, and they bowed in homage before

me. I have risen, I have gathered myself together like a beautiful golden

hawk, with the head of the Benu (phoenix), and Ra hath entered in to hear my

speech]. I have taken my seat among the great gods, [the children of]

Nut. I have settled myself, the Sekhet-hetepet (the Field of Offerings)

is before me. I eat therein, I become a Spirit-soul therein, I am

supplied with food in abundance therein, as much as I desire. The Grain-

god (Nepra) hath given unto me food for my throat, and I am master over

myself and over the attributes of my head.

Long lost pyramid discovery may rival those of Giza

Mysterious pyramid-like structures have been spotted in the Egyptian desert by an amateur satellite archaeologist, that might be long-lost pyramids according to a new investigation into the enigmatic mounds.

Angela Micol, who last year found the structures using Google Earth 5,000 miles away in North Carolina, says puzzling features have been uncovered during a preliminary ground proofing expedition, revealing cavities and shafts.

“Moreover, it has emerged these formations are labeled as pyramids on several old and rare maps,” Micol told Discovery News.

Located about 90 miles apart, the two possible pyramid complexes appeared as groupings of mounds in curious positions.

One site in Upper Egypt, just 12 miles from the city of Abu Sidhum along the Nile, featured four mounds with an unusual footprint.

Some 90 miles north near the Fayum oasis, the second possible pyramid complex revealed a four-sided, truncated mound approximately 150 feet wide and three smaller mounds in a diagonal alignment.

“The images speak for themselves,” Micol said when she first announced her findings. “It’s very obvious what the sites may contain, but field research is needed to verify they are, in fact, pyramids.”

Ancient Egyptians accessorised with meteorites

Researchers at The Open University (OU) and The University of Manchester have found conclusive proof meterorite beadthat Ancient Egyptians used meteorites to make symbolic accessories.

The evidence comes from strings of iron beads which were excavated in 1911 at the Gerzeh cemetery, a burial site approximately 70km south of Cairo. Dating from 3350 to 3600BC, thousands of years before Egypt’s Iron Age, the bead analysed was originally assumed to be from a meteorite owing to its composition of nickel-rich iron. But this hypothesis was challenged in the 1980s when academics proposed that much of the early worldwide examples of iron use originally thought to be of meteorite-origin were actually early smelting attempts.   (more…)

The Gnostic God of Amon Ra

Amon Ra (Amun or Amen Ra) is the King of Gods, Father of the Gods, Lord of the Thrones of the Two Lands, Lord of Truth whose shrine is hidden, and Amun rathe Lord of Wisdom. Amon is the Abraxas and Sophia to Gnostics, and Christos (or Gnosis) to Christians. According to Plutarch, Amon is the first being and all things, and Ra is the sun-god.

Amon Ra is the power that lies within the DNA and minds of each one of us. You communicate with Amon Ra when you do not let your passions or appetite rule you, and by conquering your animal self and this world that is ruled by Satan. When we conquer ourselves and this material world in order to live in the light of a more spiritual existence based on love and truth, we begin to know ourselves and to live in truth. To live in love through the heart and truth in our minds, our spirits ascend to the greatest heights like that of Christ or Buddha, to convene, communicate, and receive ideas from the Father God, Amon Ra. What race was Ramesses III? Part II

ramesses III picIn my last article on the race of Ramesses III, I had went over my theory as to what race this Pharaoh may have been. In this article I would like to present the clues and facts that I have found in my research.

The first fact that I would like to point out is that Ramesses III’s father, Setnakhte (or Setnakht) was not the same race of some or all of the previous Pharaohs. Setnakhte or Set was the first Pharaoh (1189 BC1186 BC) of the Twentieth Dynasty of the New Kingdom of Ancient Egypt ,and it is widely known that Setnakhte was not the son, brother or a direct descendant of the previous 2 pharaohs: either Twosret or Merneptah Siptah, nor that of Siptah’s predecessor Seti II, whom Setnakht formally considered the last legitimate ruler.

So, if Setnakhte is not a direct descendant of the previous two Pharaohs, then this also means that Ramesses III is not a direct descendant to them as well. In addition, Setnakhte or Set was the first Pharaoh (1189 BC1186 BC) of the Twentieth Dynasty of the New Kingdom of Ancient Egypt ;which means a “new dynasty” was in place, and this was because it was “new blood” on the throne which is signified with the new 20th dynasty.

The union of blood would have obviously of happened shortly after the time that the Egyptian–Hittite peace treaty was signed. This was a peace treaty concluded between Egyptian Pharaoh Ramesses II and Hittite King Hattusili III, that the Egyptians and Hittites made pledges of brotherhood and peace as seen in the first line of the treaty, “Ramesses, Beloved of Amon, Great King, King of Egypt, hero, concluded on a tablet of silver with Hattušiliš, Great King, King of Hatti, his brother” and later in the tablet saying, Ramesses II agreed to provide support to Hattušiliš’ successors in order to hold the Hittite throne.” (more…)
