What is the true Mark of the Beast? This question has been asked for many centuries, since it was written in the Book of Revelation, that

From this same root comes the word mystes, which means “[an] initiate”.
The initiates of the sacred mysteries were a distinct group of enlightened humans who were a separate class from those people whom they called the profane.
