First Case of Ebola Confirmed in the United States

The United States now has one confirmed case of Ebola; the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on Tuesday, marking the first domestic appearance of the deadly virus that has ravaged swaths of continental Africa.

The as-yet unidentified patient is located in Dallas, officials say, effectively confirming a statement issued on Monday by Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. The organization said that an unnamed patient was being tested for Ebola and had been placed in “strict isolation” due to the patient’s symptoms and recent travel history.

In a press conference, CDC Director Tom Frieden said the patient in question had been traveling in Liberia, where he may have contracted the disease. He returned to the United States on the 20th of September, after which he sought care.

Images of Alchemy

Many ancient alchemists had lived at a time when it was forbidden by law to practice alchemy. A law that was punishable by excommunication, torture, and/or death. Since it was so dangerous to think, live and practice this ancient science, many alchemists encoded their teachings into words, symbols and images that were meant to show the hidden mysteries of their art to initiates. Other alchemists were members of various secret societies controlled by the church and kings, where they had agreed under oath to not reveal these mysteries. An oath that was also often punishable by death.

The pictures below represent some of these famous alchemists and their secret art that speaks to us today without any words. See if you can decode them, and make sense of what they were trying to convey in these complex images that are silent, but say so much. Hence, a picture is worth a thousand words…

Tribe of the She-Wolf

“A nation of sheep will beget a government of wolves”- Edward R. MurrowTribe of benjamin

The symbology of the wolf in relation to humans, warriors, tribes, governments, gods and goddesses, has always played a central part in the history of the ancient and modern world. The ravenous wolf is known as one of the most fierce, strong and cunning animals of the earth who are also connected to humans. This is where we get the term the Big Bad Wolf, and the half-human and wolf creatures known as the werewolf. In the scriptures, these half-wolf and half-men are called false teachers in sheep’s clothing, violent, cruel, bloody, voracious and greedy. They prey by night because the wolf is very sharp-sighted. They are simply the great enemy of sheep and their shepherds.

This is why you will find the wolf used throughout history as the main symbol of choice for warriors, war and government. In ancient Phoenician, Greek, Roman, Spanish and German mythology, the wolf was normally associated with the warrior class, who would “transform into wolves” upon their initiation into the secret mysteries of the military. In both German and Norse mythology, the wolf was a symbol of destruction and death. The wolf was often associated with the beast of Mars, who in mythology is referred to as the Roman God of War; and it is this red planet in astrology that is known as the planet of energy, action, and desire.
