History of the Goths

The diocese of the Goths was established during the reign of Constantine the Great. The Gotones, (aka) the Goths, were a tribe who came from Northern Europe, originating in Scandinavia. The Goths afterwards became so famous under the name of Goths, who, a few centuries later, crowned their kings in Rome.

In 332, Constantine helped the Sarmatians to settle on the north banks of the Danube to defend against the Goths’ attacks and thereby Gothsenforce the Roman Empire’s border. Around 100,000 Goths were reportedly killed in battle, and Ariaricus, son of the King of the Goths, was captured. In 334, Constantine evacuated approximately 300,000 Sarmatians from the north bank of the Danube after a revolt of the Sarmatians’ slaves. From 335 to 336, Constantine, continuing his Danube campaign, defeated many Gothic tribes. Both the Greuthungi and Thervingi became heavily Romanized during the 4th century. This came about through trade with the Romans, as well as through Gothic membership of a military covenant, which was based in Byzantium and involved pledges of military assistance. Reportedly, 40,000 Goths were brought by Constantine to defend Constantinople in his later reign, and the Palace Guard was mostly composed of Germans, as the quality and quantity of the native Romans troops kept declining. The Goths were converted to Arianism by Ulfila during this time.

Fasting Journal: The Final Day

Friday night to Saturday night was the final 24 hours of my 3 day cleanse and fast. On the last day of the detox, I only drank distilled water with Detox dietabsolutely no food allowed.

HOW DID I FEEL ON THIS LAST DAY?

My final day was rather horrible. I was hungry, weak, tired, had cold sweats, and I was also nauseous to the point that I had vomited a few times throughout the day on Saturday. One of the reasons why I felt so sick, was because I have trained my body for several years to over eat to the tune of approximately 2,500 calories or more per day. When you train to eat so much and then restrict these calories, your body goes into a type of shock and awe, because the amount of fuel you had given it daily for many years is all of a sudden a lot less and then turned off for a day. Just like your car needs x amount of gallons of gas to fill its tank, your body also acts in a similar manner and when you do not have those calories, you start to run out of gas per say. This makes you hungry, irritable, and can make you sick.

However, the main reason why I was so sick on this last day was because of the 42 years of toxins that were being released from my system as a result of this detox. The kind of toxins I’m talking about are from the environment, toxic food, and my self-induced toxins I put in my body from bad thinking and bad living, which equated to about 30 years of alcohol and various toxic drugs that were still trapped in my body. Hence, I ‘BARELY’ got a taste of what I truly deserved in regards to pain for mistreating my holy temple for so many years.

HOW DID I FEEL ON THE 4TH DAY AFTER THE CLEANSE AND FAST?

Now this is where the real benefits come in and where you see great results. This is where the saying “NO PAIN, NO GAIN” gets its true meaning, in regards to making gains from your pain.

First of all, I lost 8 pounds in 3 days. I was 175 and then 167 on the last day. After I ate on Sunday, I had went back to 170 pounds, which I would say is my best weight class for my body structure. This was actually the smallest benefit to me, because my goal wasn’t to lose weight. The best health benefits I got out of this were a new mental clarity and less pain in my bones and joints. It was as if a layer of toxic filth was simply washed away by this great detox. My bodily organs, bones and blood had seemed like they had been ran through some type of human filth filter for the first time ever. The feeling would be akin to your first shower ever from the inside out with water from the Swiss Alps.

My wife, who had also did this detox with me feels the same, but she is just having a bit more stomach discomfort readjusting back to regular food, which is normal. The reason she feels this way is because she went on the distilled water fast one day longer, for a total a 2 days, which made it a little bit harder to adjust to our normal eating patterns. Besides her having some stomach discomfort, she is doing rather well. Like me, she also said her mental clarity feels the best ever. She is literally on fire right now with getting things done in our home with lose ends, and she said her vision seems much more clear now.

So there you have it. Your first 3 day cleanse and fast isn’t going to be a walk in the park, but the benefits far out weight the pain and hunger you feel, by I’d say 1,000 fold. This is something that you will not think about while you are on this detox, but only after when you realize what a wimp you were in comparison to how good you feel now.

This is where the trade off come from. The great health benefits you feel now compared to that temporary feeling of being weak from detoxing for 3 days. Hence, the long term health benefits you gain are well worth a little detox pain.
