An Argentine prosecutor who was just hours away from testifying against Argentina’s President Alberto NismanCristina Kirchner, was found dead today of an apparent suicide.

Alberto Nisman, 51, was found dead by his mother with a .22 caliber gun next to his body.

Nisman had accused the Argentine President of obstructing a probe into a 1994 Jewish center bombing. He was going to testify against her today at a congressional hearing.

The nation’s top security official, Argentine Security Secretary Sergio Berni had said, “All signs point to suicide.”

Anibal Fernandez, secretary-general for the presidency said he was “dumbfounded” by Nisman’s death, saying there was “absolutely nothing normal” about it.

Argentine-president-Cristina-Fernandez-de-KirchnerWas this a simple case of self-suicide, or was the Argentine prosecutor suicided to make it appear as if he took his own life?

I don’t want to turn this into a big conspiracy, but this breaking news appears to go in line with the President’s own conspiratorial remarks this past October, when I reported in an article that she had claimed that international interests with the help of the U.S. may try to assassinate her in order to topple the Argentine government.

President Kirchner had said at the Government House, “Domestic business interests “are trying to bring down the government, with international (US) help. So, if something happens to me, don’t look to the Mideast, look north to the United States. There are some players in the economy who want to bring down the government and they want to do it with help from abroad.”
